Have you ever wondered what process the juror of an art show goes through to make their decisions? Do you wonder whether submitting more pieces to a show affords you a better chance at making it into the show? Does the quality of your submission, not necessarily only the quality of the work, affect the juror's decision? How important is the artist statement? What about technique? Your chance to ask questions like these is coming up soon, in conjunction with Shattering Expectations, the upcoming exhibit at Philadelphia's Magic Gardens.
Nancie Mills Pipgras, editor of Mosaic Art NOW, former president of the Society of American Mosaic Artists and an internationally renowned author and speaker, is holding an open forum where no question will go unanswered! The how's, why's and why-not's of juried selection will be revealed! Find out what it is like to participate in a juried exhibition from a juror's point of view during this friendly, informal discussion.
