Get ready for a lively, inspiring, creativity‑boosting afternoon — our December MSoP General Meeting is bringing the energy, the community, and an artist whose work radiates purpose.
We’re gathering at Floor & Décor Tile and Flooring Store in Moorestown, where you’ll be surrounded by aisles of materials perfect for sparking new ideas for your next mosaic project. Explore, touch, imagine — it’s the ideal setting for a meeting dedicated to artistic curiosity.
We’re thrilled to welcome Robin Brownfield, a self‑taught mosaic artist whose work blends activism, storytelling, and healing. After chronic illness ended her career as a sociology professor, Robin turned to mosaics — and in doing so, built a powerful artistic voice that resonates throughout our region.
Robin Brownfield
Her work includes:
Public installations across Collingswood
A 57‑foot mosaic mural at Thomas Sharp Elementary School
A welcoming “EVERYONE” sign for the school
A meditation‑garden bench at Newton Lake Park
A human‑sized Monarch Butterfly sculpture
And the deeply moving portrait of Breonna Taylor, commissioned by her family
Robin’s art is bold, compassionate, and rooted in social justice. During her presentation, she’ll share:
Her personal story and how it shaped her artistic journey
The community connections formed through her public projects
How she uses mosaics to communicate meaningful messages
Her signature use of small glass and ceramic tiles
Her exhibition experiences — including moments when her mosaic was the only one in the show
This is a chance to hear directly from an artist who creates with intention, courage, and heart.
Plus: MSoP News, Updates & Mini‑Mosaic Trade
We’ll also share updates on upcoming MSoP events and activities — and of course, our beloved mini‑mosaic trade.
December’s theme: “Doodling” Bring a mini mosaic inspired by doodles, marks, sketches, or playful lines. Only those who bring a mini mosaic can participate — no registration needed.
Come for the art, stay for the community
Whether you’re new to MSoP or a long‑time member, this meeting is designed to uplift, connect, and spark creativity. We can’t wait to see you there and celebrate another month of mosaic magic together.
