Exploring Tuscany and Painting with Glass - MSOP members sharing their mosaic and travel experience!

Join us for the last MSoP member meeting of 2025.Meeting. We have a fun and interesting program planned and can’t wait to share it with our members and guests.

Once upon a time two mosaic students at Perkins Center for the Arts Center dreamed about a faraway location and learning more about their chosen discipline.  These two artists talked so much about their upcoming trip to Tuscany to study with mosaic artists Mia Tavonatti that other students became just as excited.  In September five MSoP members traveled to Tuscany to see what they could learn abour painting with glass.  Come hear from this group with MSoP board members Marcy Rosner and Lois Giovacchini and friends as they share photos and experiences during their 12 days in Italy.

Art Work Pick Up - Participants in the MSoP Member Exhibit “Free” will be able to retrieve their submissions which had been on display at Philadelphia City Hall. Participants will be provided with specifics as well as alternative pick-up locations closer to the meeting date.

Mini Mosaic Trade Theme: Sun, Moon & Stars
You are invited to swap and showcase tiny artworks inspired by our cosmic theme. Remember only those who bring a mini mosaic can participate in the trade.  Please keep your pieces at or below 4”x 6. All entries should be wrapped so that the exchange is completely anonymous.

Show & Tell Table
Bring and display your work in progress or a finished piece! A relaxed way to spark conversation, exchange ideas, and celebrate each other's creative journeys.

Potluck Refreshments Welcome
Meeting attendees are encouraged to bring a snack or drink to share during our meeting break as nothing pairs better with socializing and mosaic talk than good food and good company.
